Skibo – Treehouse

This architectural interior photography project documents “The Treehouse at Overskibo,” a luxury private activities venue designed by Blue Forest and carefully concealed within the ancient Caledonian pine forests of Skibo Castle. The architecture is defined by a sense of elevated seclusion, with the timber-clad structure perched on slender stilts to blend seamlessly into the mature canopy. The photography focuses on natural light, material warmth and spatial drama, capturing the transition from the vaulted, double-height main lounge with its striking central suspended fireplace to the intimate, richly layered interiors designed by Claire Welsh. Particular attention was given to framing the wrap-around outdoor terraces and the artisanal details of the heritage-inspired boot room and kitchen.
