Yester House – Still Motion

Location: Gifford, East Lothian, Scotland
Architects: James Smith & Alexander McGill (1699–1728)
Interior Designer: Jeffreys Interiors
Project type: Grade A-Listed Historic Mansion
Awards: International Design & Architecture 2021 Restoration Award

This AI motion project for Yester House explores the restoration of the Grade A-listed Palladian estate through subtle cinematic movement and atmospheric transitions, bringing still architectural imagery to life. Created in collaboration with Jeffreys Interiors, the motion work enhances the sense of scale, craftsmanship and atmosphere throughout the property while maintaining the restraint and elegance of the original photography.

Slow camera movement, shifting light and layered depth were used to guide the viewer through grand formal spaces, vaulted corridors and richly detailed interiors. The understated motion treatment was designed to preserve the character of the house, creating an immersive cinematic experience that adds narrative and emotion to the project while remaining faithful to the atmosphere of the estate.
